- Why Is Divine Mercy So Important?
It is the desire of Our Lord that Devotion to His Divine Mercy be spread throughout the world. The Divine Mercy message is very urgent. Jesus said to St. Faustina: “Tell the world about My Mercy and My Love.” Diary 1064 (Note: The words of Our Lord Jesus are in red.) More...
WHO IS ST. FAUSTINA?
The following year she received her religious habit and was given the name Sister Maria Faustina, to which she added "of the Most Blessed Sacrament," as was permitted by her Congregation's custom.
In the 1930s, Saint Faustina received from the Lord a message of mercy that she was told to spread throughout the world. She was asked to become the apostle and secretary of God's mercy, a model of how to be merciful to others, and an instrument for reemphasizing God's plan of mercy for the world.
Jesus told St. Faustina to write down His words of Love and Mercy and these messages are compiled in the Diary of St. Faustina entitled “Divine Mercy in My Soul”.

WHAT IS THE ESSENCE OF DIVINE MERCY?
The message of mercy is that God loves us -- all of us, no matter how great our sins. And He wants us to turn to Him so He can bless us. He wants us to recognize His mercy and let it flow through us to others. Thus, all will come to share in His joy. It’s as simple as ABC:
A - Ask for His Mercy.
B - Be Merciful.
C - Completely Trust.
The message calls for us to turn to the Lord's mercy with trust, to receive mercy with thanksgiving, and to be merciful to others. Our Lord wants us to know of his unfathomable mercy, and be merciful to others, as He is mercy to us. Jesus told Saint Faustina to "Proclaim that mercy is the greatest attribute of God. All the works of My hands are crowned with mercy" Diary, 301.
When Jesus gave His words to St. Faustina, He was speaking to us, about our current situation. We are being called to action.
“My daughter, it is time for you to take action. I am with you. Great persecutions and sufferings are in store for you, but be comforted by the thought that many souls will be saved and sanctified by this work.” Diary 966Because He calls us to work for Him, He will help and support us.
“Do not fear, my little child, you are not alone. Fight bravely because My arm is supporting you; fight for the salvation of souls, exhorting them to trust in My Mercy, as that is your task in this life and in the life to come.” Diary 1452
